Coral Peony and banquet style tables at Cliveden House

Hayley & Stephen opted for rich colours and long tables for their June wedding at Cliveden House. Hayley loved Orange which we blended with rich Rust tones, sand, pinks and peaches to form a pretty palette. We hand picked Ester & Erik taper candles from my sample cards at the studio and Hayley chose gold cutlery, gold beaded charger plates and a mix of twisted and vintage delicate glassware. Stationer Lynda Athey made delightful place cards with subtle wax seals and hand calligraphy which sat perfectly on our Terracotta loose style napkins, accompanied by table number cards which we displayed on our mini Antique easels.

Our floral recipe consisted of coral Peony, Astilbe, apricot Stocks, orange blooms, spray roses, Delphiniums and Lisianthus.

Autumnal barn wedding styled shoot

My favourite time of year sees the arrival of crisper mornings, darker colours, softer light and one of my all time favourite flowers; velvety chocolate Cosmos. Kerry Ann Duffy, another favourite, captured our fabulous autumnal styled shoot at The Ferry House. Working with the Bridal Boutique of Joules team meant that we were not only treated to expert dress tweaks but the addition of our shoot mascot was a bonus! He featured in the photos and was a hit with everyone!

A slightly moody look, hand made stationery and the finest details made this a firm favourite.

Timeless Spring wedding at The Ferry House

As always, we’re busy planning and chatting to couples about their upcoming Spring and Summer weddings. To celebrate beautiful Spring weddings, we’re bringing out an old favourite, sharing Gemma’s elegant wedding details. Married at The Ferry House, with 100 guests, barn ceremony followed by dining in the Event Suite, Gemma chose an elegant style with subtle details. With a subtle nod to Spring and a soft romantic look paired with foliage and white flowers, the Event Suite looked light and elegant.

We weaved in the softest blue through choice of napkins, top table trestle cloths and paper lanterns. Gemma sourced the cutest blue heart favours for her guests.

Gemma loved the soft white fabric with foliage tie backs for the standard wooden Ferry House chairs, complimenting her table centres which comprised of foliage and white flowers with glass globe tea lights.

Post ceremony, the Pickling jars which looked perfect decorating the aisle in the barn, were repurposed to line the top table. They add soft candlelight and looked so pretty against the soft blue table cloths on the long top table.

We hung the ceiling hoops and decorated the chairs whilst the Ferry House team set up the remainder of the decor. Gemma’s florist provided her table centre toppers and top table wooden box.

Additional decor: Gemma opted for the twinkly fairylight backdrop which sat perfectly in the Barn alcove.

Service option: Hire only Colours: Pale blue, green and white

Horsley Towers Al Fresco Styled Shoot

This styled shoot was led by our fabulous Surrey franchisee Clare Holliday at Horsley Towers wedding venue. The unique architecture of the building is quite breath taking and makes for a gorgeous backdrop to a long summer evening of wedding celebrations.

Clare created a informal dining experience. With the use of our glass bud vases, large boho look vases and antique candle sticks that were placed on an exquisite table runner from Silk and Purl. All of these elements created a table design that was relaxed and inviting. Grasses and wild flowers were supplied by Blakes of Bookham. With thanks to Options for the tableware, tables and chairs.

Country Wedding Style

IMG_6714.jpg

When Phil & Juliette planned their wedding they wanted a glorious country wedding day, a laid back feel with plenty of florals. Following the service at Chiddingstone Castle, guests had a short bus ride to the couple’s home where a bunting lined walk led to the field next to their house. A fabulous marquee and glamping bell tents were laid out on the lawn.

At our first meeting Juliette declared,
”You simply can’t have enough bunting!”

In addition to hiring our beautiful handmade country set, Juliette’s bridesmaids hung meters upon meters of bunting around the reception setting.

We chose vintage crockery and champagne coupes for place settings, along with lavender sprigs with name tags placed on our gingham napkins to add to the country look the couple wanted.

Juliette’s table plan was set in suitcases filled with gypsophelia matched to little cards on each table and then displayed on our table top easels. Florist in the Forest added beautiful seasonal blooms in cut glass vases and single stems.

Phil & Juliette’s choice of a traditional marquee provided the perfect backdrop for the theme. The LPM Bohemia marquee was lined with the hand painted chinoiserie design.

Other stand out pieces included our vintage tandem bike with a basket filled with flowers by our in-house florist, rustic ladders to display personal photographs and lanterns added to the straw bale seating added country charm for guests enjoying the sunshine and catching up over drinks.

Urban Pantry served up their amazing dishes which fuelled guests to dance the night away and recount the day by the fire.
